Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2 June 2025

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the GoDeli platform, available at godeli.ie. By using GoDeli — whether as a customer placing an order or as a deli registering their business — you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About GoDeli

GoDeli is a technology platform that enables customers to browse local delis and place pre-orders for collection. GoDeli is not a food business and is not the seller of any food or goods. The seller in each transaction is the individual deli. GoDeli facilitates the ordering and payment process only.

2. For customers

Placing an order. When you place an order through GoDeli, you are entering into a contract directly with the deli, not with GoDeli. GoDeli is not a party to that contract.

Payment. Payments are processed by SumUp, a licensed payment institution regulated in the EU. GoDeli does not store or process your payment card details.

Collection. Orders must be collected in person from the deli at the specified time. GoDeli does not offer delivery.

Cancellations and refunds. Cancellation and refund requests must be directed to the deli directly. As GoDeli is not the seller, we are unable to issue refunds on a deli's behalf. If a deli is unable to fulfil your order, please contact the deli for a refund via SumUp.

Food safety and allergens. The deli is solely responsible for the safety, quality, and allergen information of food prepared and sold. If you have an allergy or dietary requirement, contact the deli directly before ordering.

Age. You must be at least 16 years old to use GoDeli.

3. For deli owners

Eligibility. To register as a deli on GoDeli, you must be a legitimate food business operating in Ireland, holding all required licences and registrations (including food business registration with your local authority).

Subscription. Use of the GoDeli platform for deli owners requires a monthly subscription. Subscription fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice.

Transaction fees. All card payments taken through GoDeli are processed by SumUp. SumUp charges a fee of 1.69% per transaction, deducted at source. GoDeli does not charge an additional transaction fee.

Your responsibilities. You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of your menu, pricing, allergen information, and opening hours
  • The quality and safety of food prepared and sold
  • Compliance with all applicable food safety, hygiene, and consumer protection legislation
  • Fulfilling orders placed through the platform in a timely manner
  • Keeping your staff PIN confidential and secure

Account termination. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a deli account that violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or brings GoDeli into disrepute. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

4. Intellectual property

The GoDeli name, logo, design, and software are owned by GoDeli and may not be reproduced without permission. By listing your deli on GoDeli, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display your deli name, logo, menu, and other listing content on the platform.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, GoDeli is not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from the acts or omissions of a deli
  • Food quality, safety, or allergen issues
  • Loss of income or business resulting from platform downtime
  • Indirect or consequential losses of any kind

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain all rights granted under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and applicable Irish consumer protection legislation. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Registered deli owners will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
